As The Gateway Pundit's Kristinn Taylor reported, on Friday, the Associated Press wrote a disgusting hit piece against President-Elect Donald Trump's nominee for Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, that dubbed him an alleged "Insider Threat" over his Christianity-themed tattoos. Now, Hegseth has a fiery warning to his hateful detractors.
The 44-year-old Hegseth is a best-selling author and Fox News host who served nearly 20 years in the Army National Guard and fought in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. He eventually rose to the rank of Major while earning two Bronze Stars.
The far-left AP tried to smear Hegseth as a white supremacist in an article about how he was barred from National Guard service during Joe Biden's inauguration in January 2021 after a fellow service member ratted on him for having supposedly bigoted, white nationalist tattoos: One of a Jerusalem Cross and another that says, "Deus Vult," (God wills it.). At the time, the Trump-hating Pentagon led by Lloyd Austin was rounding up conservatives in uniform following the January 6, 2021, protest at the Capitol by labeling them "Insider Threats."
The AP's Pentagon reporter Tara Copp posted her article to X with the caption, "Pete Hegseth, the Army National Guard veteran and Fox News host nominated by Donald Trump to lead the Department of Defense, was flagged as a possible "Insider Threat" by a fellow service member due to a tattoo he has that's associated with white supremacists."
In the Pentagon's and AP's eyes, proclaiming yourself a follower of Jesus Christ is the equivalent of being David Duke and Adolf Hitler. How despicable.
In addition, two far-left guests went on MSNBC on back-to-back nights to regurgitate the AP's hit piece on Hegseth and straight up called him a white supremacist. When did slander become legal in America?
WATCH:
After Vance pointed out the facts on X and decried the smears against Hegseth, Trump's Defense Secretary nominee weighed in with his thoughts. America-haters like the corporate media and the far-left should be nervous.
Hegseth said he would not let the haters get him down and warned his detractors that he would end the radical left's targeting of God-fearing Americans as Secretary of Defense.
"They can target me — I don't give a damn — but this type of targeting of Christians, conservatives, patriots and everyday Americans will stop on DAY ONE at DJT's DoD," Hegseth wrote.
Now, that is a message all Americans who care about the rule of law can get behind. Let's hope the Senate sees through the garbage and confirms Hegseth.
