President Donald Trump reportedly told people close to him that he does not support Kevin McCarthy-backed Speaker of the House candidate Tom Emmer of Minnesota. If Trump becomes publically vocal in his opposition to Emmer, then the McCarthy machine could suffer another big setback in their desperate quest to keep power.
Since Kevin McCarthy's ouster, Trump has cut a pretty big figure in the happenings on Capitol Hill, and even entertained speculation that he could run for Speaker himself. Already, Trump boosted Jim Jordan's bid for the speakership (which came close to the magic number of 217 votes but the Establishment kiboshed him). Jordan could potentially re-emerge at some point to run again. Also, Trump helped to defeat the McCarthy machine's early candidate Steve Scalise. So far, the populist insurgents led by Matt Gaetz have ousted McCarthy, fended off Scalise and Austin Scott, almost got Jim Jordan the gavel, and squashed a desperate Establishment ploy to unconstitutionally "empower" temporary speaker Patrick McHenry.
Now, a handful of Republicans are running for speaker this week, including Byron Donalds and Mike Johnson as well as Establishment puppet Tom Emmer and others including Pete Sessions. What is at stake? Currently, the absence of a Speaker of the House is shutting down Congress and Joe Biden cannot pass his desired $105 billion war bill that would fund the dangerous World War 3 quagmires in Ukraine and Israel. So, the Matt Gaetz Caucus is literally blocking full-scale World War 3 on a day-to-day basis, using U.S. House rules that many folks in the Establishment on Capitol Hill don't seem to have any knowledge of. The Establishment is so panicked that RINO warmonger Dan Crenshaw even tried to trip National File's publisher Noel Fritsch!

Kevin McCarthy's Majority Whip, Tom Emmer, is the GOP establishment's next man up after efforts to elect Majority Leader Steve Scalise as Speaker of the House failed, prior to establishment members moving to block Jim Jordan's candidacy and attempting to hand broad powers over to unelected interim speaker Patrick McHenry.
Emmer is a longtime supporter of the "National Popular Vote" scheme that was widely embraced by the left after President Trump's 2016 Electoral College victory.
Under the scheme, which has been signed into law in a handful of blue states, electoral votes are not given to the winning candidate of an individual state but are assigned to the national popular vote winner.
The program not only surrenders a state's sovereignty by handing control over its votes to residents of other states but gives national electoral control to highly populated areas like New York and California, which just so happen to be some of the most left-wing regions of the United States.
According to a webpage devoted to promoting the popular vote legislation, the bills "will take effect when enacted into law by states possessing [a combined] 270 electoral votes."…."
