The Conservative Inc. network Salem Media Group is partnering with NBC News and the Republican Jewish Coalition and Rumble in presenting the Republican presidential debate on Wednesday night, which will not feature overwhelming frontrunner President Donald Trump. The Republican National Committee handpicked Salem for the role. But NBC News claims that NBC fully controls the questions. Why is supposedly conservative Salem Media Group putting their seal of approval on NBC-controlled subversion?
Salem Media's host Hugh Hewitt is set to serve as just one of the moderators in Miami on Wednesday. NBC is sending Lester Holt and Kristen Welker to outnumber Hewitt. But will Hewitt simply be asking questions approved by Salem's mainstream media partner? An NBC spokesperson said that NBC controls the editorial content of the questions, according to The Washington Post.
It is interesting that NBC News is totally humiliating Salem Media Group because NBC is getting criticism from the left for even partnering with Salem in the first place. It is also interesting that Salem Media Group is complicit in the apparent Uniparty sham debate.
Jenna Ellis, an anti-Trumper who previously failed in her capacity working for Trump's election integrity effort, works as a podcaster for Salem. Other talkers affiliated with Salem include bloviators Dr. Sebastian Gorka and Dennis Prager.
Independent talk show host Stew Peters has characterized Salem Media Group in the recent past as a tool of the Republican Establishment, saying, "I don't want to be one of these watered-down radio hosts whose content is dictated for them by somebody like a Salem Media Group or the top brass at the Republican Party. I will always remain true to my message, true to America first principles, and signing on with some of the larger radio groups nationally would absolutely compromise the legitimacy of my message."
